 Sunday evenings broadcast of "The Eagle's Nest" was wonderful ! The topic that was discussed was the element of the law of Attraction! Now I know what your thinking, "The Law of Attraction is so over rated!" After you listen to this week's past show, really think about how you have attracted what is taking place in your life,and how you attracted what you are experiencing now. Really pay attention to what "tools" you used to manifest particular people, and situations in your life. What I mean by tools are; how you used your language to ritualized certain energies, hence allowing them the manifest. Secondly, observe what actions you ritualized in your life as well. an example of this would be repeating the same bad habits that produce the same results. We all do this including myself, but we expect different outcomes to the equation, which as we all know never works. Khadijah would love for you to share these insights next week. You might be quite surprised as to what the findings are! More importantly, what you discover about yourself!

Khadijah, and all of the caller's brought up very important points about destiny, and how to find one's destiny. Some of the points brought to our attention were: How to find one's destiny, are you fighting your destiny, and are you walking the wrong path due to fear?  These are very deep things to ponder, and really need to be pondered more before you do the exercises presented here.

In conclusion, we ALL have a role to play in the fabric of this reality whether we think so or not; we all play a role to the larger picture of the world. As individuals we all need to start walking in our truth, and the only way to do so is to investigate our purpose in this life; thus our passion. Good luck with this week's exercise from Khadijah. Destiny Exercises

“Knowing and understanding your destiny can help to create peace within yourself and will give you added drive and purpose”

In discovering or re-affirming your destiny there are a couple of things you have to think about (a) what is your destiny and (b) how will you service your destiny?

Our destiny, whether it is obvious or hidden, is an important aspect of who we are. The faster we obtain this information and beginning the steps to achieving it the better and easier the process is. When our ultimate goal, our destiny, is in sight we can manage towards that and live our life in a more fulfilling manner. As each of us have important individual goals in life. Collectively there are big goals that we have together that must be achieved. The more of us that are walking in our destiny’s path the more elevated our ancestors become, our families, our communities and the world.

(a) what is your destiny

Our destiny, even though we may not been aware of it, our destiny has been with us from the beginning. It is everywhere and everything we are and will always find a way to be present in our lives. We must reflect in our lives the underline traits that have always been there. For me it has also been service. All throughout my life I have been involved with community service on some level. I consider myself a servant of the people and thrive from assisting others with their work. Review your life. What have you always done? Have you counseled? Have you always been an organizer? Have you always stood bravely against all odds and for the benefits of other? These are the questions to ask yourself, this is where your destiny lives.


(b) how will you serve your destiny

Once you have an understanding of what your destiny is then you must discover how to apply it. Often time, once you have discovered your destiny and you have accepted it the how will become evident. You will see tons of opportunities that will create deeper understanding as to who you are and the beauty of yourself.

We all play a major role in the universe, don’t delay in moving forward. Reflect into yourself the beauty of your destiny. Each week at the beginning of the show we will look at these exercises and hopefully you will feel inspired to share your experience in researching your destiny. There is someone that can benefit from your story.

Brain Drain, Dr Charles Glassman, Consciousness Tools For 2011

Greetings Family,
Today, The H2O network welcomed back Dr. Charles Glassman, who is the author of the wonderful book Brain Drain http://www.charlesglassmanmd.com/about.html. The book goes into detail about the automatic brain, which is known to some as the reptilian brain and how it effects our consciousness, thus our actions as human-beings. If you missed the show, let me tell you, you missed allot! Dr. Glassman had many insightful concepts that one should really think about going into this new year. I perceive that as a  global community we have to start taking responsibility for our lives. More importantly, in order to create real change in our lives, and the world around us, "we"  have to think differently about our selves and what we deserve in this life. As a result, we will be able to help others at the fullest levels of joy from an truly authentic, spiritual space

Oro Shango

Oro Shango aka Curtis Hutson is a native son of Garrett County in far western Maryland. Raised in a small railroad town, he had the advantage of having 4 parents. After losing their youngest son to the Vietnam War, Oro's grandparents invited his parents to move in and take over things, and at the same time help raise Oro and his siblings.

Raised as a United Methodist by his grandmother, Oro found himself drifting away from Christianity due to many unanswered questions. 

The belief in "nothing" lasted for 5 years, including 3 years in the Army. In 1985, he met Miss Paula and found out what it meant to be Pagan.

 

From the early days of school Oro's favorite subjects to study have always been World history and World religions and adding the beliefs of his Ancestors from Europe and the Celtic Pagan ways seemed only natural.

Oro was introduced to the internet in the early 90's and has been involved with it ever since.

27 years of over the road truck driving--including 10 years running as a team with Miss Paula was how Oro spent the first half of his life. He has been on every piece of Interstate highway in the lower 48 with many trips into Canada. With no chargeable accidents on his driving record and over 6 million miles covered in a commercial vehicle, Oro retired from the road July 14th, 2010, and turned his attention to the Internet full time.

2001 and the "Wheel" turns again. Lukumi came into the spiritual picture by way of a reading from a Babalawo and a lightning strike and today Oro and Miss Paula share in their beliefs in Egun (Ancestors), Olofi (God), and Orisha because of a special day in August that year.

Together they co-host 3 shows on KDCL Media, which cover such topics as Ifa/Lucumi, Ancestor reverence, current events such as Mountain Top Removal coal mining and Marcellus shale gas, local happenings, and the story of their personal journey through this thing called LIFE.

He hosts Steppin’ Thru The Looking Glass with rescue medium, Diane Green a show exploring spiritual gifts and their development.

Miss Paula

My family and Oro’s have been intertwined since our grandmothers were children. His great grandmother would often bring her daughters and visit my great grandparents’ farm and our mothers were friends in high school.

After high school and community college, I moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1979 where I attended many pow-wows that sparked an interest in Native American beliefs. Working part-time at a cousin’s store bordering the Sauk and Fox tribal lands provided many opportunities to learn. A move to Denver, Colorado, in 1980, where I discovered paganism, began attending psychic and renaissance faires, began studying world religions and learning to read tarot cards.

Our paths crossed again in the fall of 1985 and we were married in January 1986. A few months later I was taking my test for a license to drive tractor-trailer, and for the next ten years we spent most of our time driving back and forth hauling produce, paper, and just about anything you can name across the country while living in Ft. Worth, Texas.

We moved ‘home’ to become caregivers for my paternal grandmother in 1997 and in 2001 a bolt of lightning changed the course of our lives, and set us on a different spiritual path.

I am an Apetebi nee Orumila in Cuban Ifa, and Omo Obatala with a path to receive asiento in Lukumi. I still read tarot, and am developing my abilities as a medium.

Buffalo Talk With Skuya Fasthorse From The Lakota Nation

Greetings H2O family,
Buffalo Talk with Skuya Fasthorse was awesome this evening! One of the things that I love about Buffalo Talk is that not only is it a place to receive medicine from the elders, but it's also a place to receive knowledge from the callers. We had a caller named David who called from Texas who is apart of the youth, and let me tell you we got a wonderful ear full.

So many times the elders, and everyone in between don't give the youth the time that they deserve to be heard in this reality of existence due to the believe we have with youth, and the ideologies that surround the word itself. As a result, Adults miss the opportunity to hear the Creator speak through them, hence, delivering important messages of wisdom that can change the way we perceive life, and the world that we participate in. The youth have so much to say as proved tonight by Buffalo Talks wonderful caller David; let's listen because  societies sacred objects are our children, as stated so beautifully by Skuya Fasthorse on this evening's show! CBLA Farm Program

Greetings Family,
Recently,  teacher & Lucumi Priest of 40 years, Oba Ernesto Pichardo has presented a wonderful project to the world; The Church of The Lukumi Babalu Aye Farm Project. The program focuses on bringing the community together regardless of what one practices in the African Diaspora, and saving the planet that most take for granted. More importantly, the project brings together the local, and global communities; thus, connecting individuals from a deeper place of understanding of ones environment, self, and one's community.

The CBLA project will focus on incentives that deal in the area of sustainability, which includes farming, organic gardening, herbal medicine, nutrition, along with many other wonderful projects.

One of the most important programs that the Farm Project has created is the ECO Team program. This program focuses on rescuing medicinal plants in areas that have been abused by man due to garbage dumping, and waste left in the environment. In addition, it will provide a place where Lucumi practitioners can recycle scared herbs that are used for ceremony, hence providing a place where used herbs can be recycled and not thrown away. An extra benefit is that the Program will beautify the area, at the same time saving the place we call home.

There's so much beauty that this Program will bring to the world. I will most definitely keep the H2O family posted on the Farm's progress.
