Orisha Throne Artist: John-Michael Corales
Born and raised in Brooklyn, East New York, John-Michael Corales has been an initiated priest of Yemaya in the Lukumi faith since August 29th, 2003. Combining artistic passion, creative design, and knowledge of the Lukumi tradition, he has been building thrones since December of 2007. Known in the Lukumi faith as Omi Yeye Omi (Salt water, Sweet water), John-Michael strives to create visually spectacular yet traditionally sound representations of the majesty and spiritual essence of Orisha.Art Join The H2O Network on Tuesday Jan 4th at 7:00pm EST as he discusses his art.
