Film Maker Rina Klanfer, To Dream In Spanish
Rina is a filmmaker, artist and film editor living in Boston. Her thesis documentary, To Dream In Spanish, is a personal documentary about the children of immigrants. The audience is taken through a journey with the filmmaker, Rina Klanfer and her friend, Hector Rojas as she seeks to understand what it means to dream in Spanish. The film explores religious tolerance, faith and cultural identity. Rina has her MA degree from Emerson College and a BA from Florida State University. She has also worked on films such as Invisible, that won the Afterellen.com short film competition, The Next Stop and Big Moves to name a few. Her video credits include: New England Cable News, WHDH-TV in Boston, Bravo Digital Media, NBC Universal’s Losing It With Jillian, The Florida’s News Channel, Brown Brother’s Harriman and WTVJ-TV in Miami.

Writer, and Musician Tiko Rojas Talking About Lukumi Taboos In Reference To Women, and Gender
Tiko is a writer, musician, performance artist, author, activist, poet and priest of Oshun. In 1999 he was the lead vocalist for "Ancestry of Sound". He has played, opened for and worked with many artists including Ozomatli, Medusa,Quetzal, Bilal, Zap Mama and many more. Tiko is a practitioner of Vodou and was interviewed for the ABC News Nightline special Fete Gede before the devastating earthquake in Haiti. He is the author of the book "Omphalos: the nourishing nature of Odu" about everything in material manifestation and where in Odu it is born and is currently in the movie "To Dream in Spanish" which discusses culture, race, religion and immigration. He is also the author of several essays including "Merin Laye: The Orishas speak from the four corners of the earth" ,"Saving Osain: a conservationist approach to Orisha worship" and "The four colors of Osun". He is an advocate for the LGBT community in the diaspora. Tiko participated in the historic signing of the accord to preserve lukumi tradition with Oba Ernesto Pichard, Willie Ramos and many other priests. H2O Network Live Broadcast At The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, NYC
