The Eagle's Nest: How To Stay Focused On Your Spiritual Path

Staying Focused on your Spiritual Path 11.06.11
By Khadijah Seven

Every single show has it own preparation ritual, meditation, time for reflection and this show was no different. About a month ago I had written on a scrap sheet of paper “Stay focused on your path”. Every day I would see this paper and say “Ok, Ok I am focused” and I would move it to my bed, my office area, the top of my fridge, my multiple piles of paper and everywhere else in between. It seemed like everyday this scrap piece of paper would find it’s way to me. As I was packing my whites for the upcoming Ancestral Connections retreat that MothaEagle Ministries was producing and that I was facilitating at I found the scrap paper again and this time I sat down to reflect for a moment. This little sheet of paper was not going to stop following me until I spent some time focusing on my path.

As I did my self reflection I was so please to review all the ancestral energy that I got to partake in. Last week The Eagle’s Nest had a beautiful and touching show about the beauty and wonder of ancestors in our lives. Nov.1 AstroOrisa of AstroOrisa moon forecaster, Radia Nunez, the founder of The H20 Network and myself got together and did an amazing show on ancestors and the realm of understanding. The Nov 4th thru 6th  weekend was spent on Sapelo Island in Georgia facilitating one of the most profound spiritual weekends to date! That is a lot of ancestral energy!!! Yet the request/suggestion to remain focused was ever present in my heart and my mind. All weekend I spent a lot of energy keeping myself grounded and remembering “to keep the main thing, the main thing.” I began to think about life and how many different twists and turns we can make before reaching our true destination. Every twist that we take can take us further from our main goal but DIRECTLY towards an opportunity to learn a lesson. We are always learning lessons and for the lessons that we are can not learn we are forced to repeat them. In remaining focused we have got to learn to quickly learn our lesson and try to stay on the main road of our spiritual path.

Loyal listener, Aishah called in and stated that focus is “Following One Course Until Successful” and that was so on point!! Each of those words has different meaning and each person should be able to see where their challenges are. For some the “following” is the problem. They will know what to do but just not commit to start the task. For others the “successful” part is the problem. The person will quit way too early or will hang on to a painful lesson too long. I know clearly my challenge is in the “one” course or direction. I love to pile my plate sky high. I love to have ten projects going on at once. I find when I slow myself down a minute I am able to concentrate better and actually produce a better product. We all have challenges in our hopes to remain F.O.C.U.S. we must know ourselves in order to begin.

A key point that Radia, my producer, brought up is that it is extremely difficult to F.O.C.U.S on anything if you do not have a healthy emotional state. A lot of the mistakes and detours that we make are due to lessons we have yet to learn. As we spend time working on self reflection and healing issues from the past we have to set defined goals/ paths and we must follow them until successful.

EXERCISE FOR STAYING FOCUSED: I strongly encourage everyone to set three sets of goals; one set of goals you want accomplished in three months, another set of goals for items you want accomplished in the next 12 months; and lastly goals for your life. Try to set goals for every aspect of your life; personal relationships, work life, friendships and your spiritual goals. Once you actually start writing your goals you will be able to see more of where you want to be and where you actually are in your journey. Quarterly you should be able to review your goals and see if you are in F.O.C.U.S or not.

It is a must listen to show full of information, emotions and love. The shows are available through archive by clicking the link below. To catch the show live please tune into The Eagle’s Nest on The H20 Network on Blog Talk radio every Sunday from 7pm (EST) to 9pm or listen over the phone 917-889-7207.

The Eagle's Nest: Follow-up On What Happened On Sunday's Show, Thank You

A Respectful Thank you 10.30.11
By Khadijah Seven

Not many people get to wake up in the morning and do what they love, but I do. When I wake each morning, before my eyes are even in focus, I make my prayers and my day is allowed to begin. This morning prayer reminds me that no matter what challenges are headed my way, this morning I am going to be able to survive them. The challenges are coming, that is a guarantee! Some days it is not my burden to bear but a sister in need, the challenges are still there. I had a dear friend of mine remind me that times are truly tough out there and that people are struggling to hold on, and I had to agree. In my own small circle there is evidence all around me of the trials and tribulations that lay wait for us all. Just as all this was about to get me down I had a thought of my ancestors. My mighty, strong, ancestors! That overcame battles that I would not sign my enemy up to fight. I thought of their challenges of trying to survive in this country, feeding a family off scraps, swimming against the current at every turn, not just on Mondays. I remember a conversation I had with my oldest son Solomon who is twelve. He asked “it seems as if everyone made history back in the day.” I had to think about it, yes it is true but there is still history to make. We all have a history or her-story to create and again, it brought me back to my ancestors. Who not only made history in their time but are there supporting me in my-story. Every time I think of my ancestors it brings a tear to my eye, and a stiffness in my back( that stiffness means buck up!!). I am going to share what my ancestors ALWAYS tell me, they always say to me to STAY ENCOURAGED!! STAY ENCOURAGED through these tough times, STAY ENCOURAGED as you stand on our shoulders and seek comfort in our arms. STAY ENCOURAGED as you shine your light as BRIGHT AS YOU CAN, dim it for no one!! Yes, I come from a proud group of ancestors and everything I do I say a respectful, thank you!
This show was so sweet as many people came forward and shared their beautiful story of ancestral support. Everyone that called in had an opportunity to share their story of love and comfort that they have received through ancestral reverence. Also some terminology and questions were answered on the air so it is a great show to listen to.

Animal Totems With The Eagle's Nest

Greetings H20, and Eagle's Nest Family,

ANIMAL TOTEMS with The Eagle’s nest on The H20 Network Oct 23, 2011

This week on The Eagle’s Nest, we spoke about our animal totems. These totems are so helpful in our lives and are guidelines and signs from Mother Nature. When we listen to nature we can learn information that can assist us in our life. We receive these messages through visions, dreams, meditations and their physical existence. The indigenous people of this land had learned to live not just in harmony but to grow and thrived together. We can learn everything about our animal totems such as how they mate, their life cycle and the attack and defense actions. There is so much to learn all we have to do is open ourselves up to the experience. During the show we spoke about the hummingbird, owl, wolf and eagle, but there are many, many more animals to discover.

Hummingbird

Hummingbirds represent tireless joy and the sweetness of life. I absolutely love hummingbirds!! Their beautiful color always brings a smile to my face. At my sunflower house, in the kitchen window I had a flowering plant and the hummingbird would flock there each morning. I remember waking up exhausted from work, a young child, school and life in general.  I would wake up to see the hummingbirds buzzing about full of happiness and joy. Hummingbirds come into your life at a time of high transition and change. If you have ever looked at a hummingbird they move almost effortlessly zipping along the way. They can change direction without any notice and can actually fly backwards. I try to make my motions just as easy and unassuming. As I am making a thousand and one moves I would love for my efforts to seem almost effortlessly. The overall message that hummingbirds carry is that you need to find joy in your life and that you can accomplish that which seems impossible. Lately everything in my life has seemed impossible but a positive path as always appeared. My hummingbird reminds me to find joy in all situations and that there is no impossible in my life.

Owl

The owl is one of my totems and has always been an important part of my spiritual development. The owl is the symbol of the feminine, the moon, and the night. The owl is associated with higher wisdom, clairvoyance and astral projection because of the eyes. An owl’s eyes can appear to see through any shields or lies that others tell. When this beautiful totem first appeared in my life I needed to more self reflection. I needed to spend more time seeing the truth about myself and my situation. When an owl suddenly shows up in your life you need to evaluate if your depth perception to see if you are looking at things correctly.

Eagle

Momma Khadijah shared with everyone the very powerful energy of Eagle medicine. The eagle has represented spirit, healing and creation for many cultures throughout time. Even our United States government uses this strong, proud bird as a symbol for the spirit of this land. Eagles represent such a high level of spirituality, creativity and strength that the MothaEagle Ministries program was created around. Eagle medicine is used at all of the MothaEagle events for the healing attributes and the strength needed to accomplish what we are charged to do. Momma Khadijah shared many stories of all the stunning examples of eagle medicine and animal totems that she has experienced in her spiritual journey.

Wolf

Chief Efuntola shared her touching story about her experience with her totem, a white wolf. This wolf has an ancestral connection with her and her family lineage. It is a beautiful connection between the long standing relationship her spiritual family and the animal kingdom have experienced over generations. Chief shared with us the dual relationship this animal totem has had with her since birth and the protector role he has maintained in her life.

This was a must listen to show with lots and lots of information to share. I encourage everyone to look around them, do you a number of horse statues around you? Or is it a bear? I knew a sister that owned rabbits in every form you could have a rabbit. The rabbits where ceramic figurines, wood craving, crystal pieces, paintings, jewelry, everything. I remember saying to her “do you like rabbits?” She replied “oh they are ok”. I looked around there had to be at least 20 rabbits in the very room we were sitting in! “Just ok?” When I showed her how many rabbits where in the room she began to think a little more about it. When we started to research rabbit energy it became very clear as to why she was drawn to the rabbit. Start to observe in your life, you may be surprised.

Author Padma Aon and His New creation "Dimensions of Love"

Greetings H20 Family,

Author Padma Aon returned to the H20 this week, and of course we had another amazing conversation! Padma discussed his new creation "The Dimensions of Love", which is one of the most beautiful books about love I have read to date (seriously). One of the aspects that I love most about the book is that it is VERY honest about the perception of love, thus pondering what love is, and what it is not from human perceptive, and a divine one. As a society, we have been fed many different ideologies about the subject of love. As a result, human-beings have encountered more conflicts rather than solutions that REALLY solve the problem of love, and what that really means when giving it, and receiving it's beautiful essence. Societies consciousness has been indoctrinated with a human idealized form of love, instead of the divine essence of love, which is ever lasting/eternal. The sad truth of this reality that we find ourselves in, is that humanity is never, nor has been truly fulfilled from a deeper soul level because of these ingrained entrapment's of thinking (the proof is displayed in every aspect of society). For more on our conversation, check out our interview http://www.blogtalkradio.com/theh2onetwork/2011/10/18/author-padma-aon-returns-to-the-h20-network

More importantly, Padma has decided to give this wonderful book away for free (AWESOME!!!) http://www.padmaaon.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will be able to download the PDF form of the book, along with another wonderful creation by Padma Aon "Sacred Wounds, Original Innocence". I know that you will enjoy both of these beautiful books like I have. But, I have to warn you, fasten your seat belts it will truly bend your consciousness, and confront you with your deepest, and darkest secrets like never before!

Many Blessings and happy reading family,

The Eagle's Nest: Follow-up On What Happened On Sunday's Show: My Sister's Keeper

My Sister’s Keeper
When beginning the creative process for the show “My Sister’s Keeper” I started as I usually do in meditation, studying what it takes to be someone’s keeper. I have sisters. I have all kinds of sisters, blood sisters, sorority sisters, spiritual sisters and then my aunties who are sisters that are older than I, but I got sisters. As with every show there is always a surprise lesson in the message for me so when I saw this topic I began to think “wait a minute!! I am there for my sisters!!” I tried to pull on my mental roll-a-dex of positive things I have said and done for my many types of sisters throughout the years.
I sat there with my arms folded (which is not proper meditation form) and said
“See!!! I have been there for my sisters”
My spirit guide that is so loving and patient with me responded “and”.
And???
And??
That is lot, right??
Isn’t that enough?
I thought I was really doing something. But as I unfolded my arms and began to reflect I started to think about how much more was needed. It was not that I was not doing “enough” it was that so much MORE is needed. My sisters need my support, and I need theirs, period. But I am not special, at least not this day. I am not special in the idea that I need love and support from my peers. I am not special in the idea that I need a place where I can let my hair down and laugh and giggle with the best of them. I am not special in the idea that I need a shoulder to cry on when life beats me up and has me on the ropes. But then again I am special. We are all special. We all have emotional needs and that sister love it too important.
Some of the feedback I have received about this show is that is was the best show to date on The Eagle’s Nest!! I think everyone could relate with the need for sisterhood. The stories of being there for your friend, for your sisters were powerful and over flowing. My pillar Katrina who I have known and loved since 1992 called in and shared some of our crazy adventures together. I remembered all the situates she has helped me through from children to husbands and ex-husbands, through degrees and a thousand and one moves in between. My sister Aishah happened to be in the kitchen steps away from me “amen-ing” to all the comments. Momma Khadijah called in and educated us about the “womb” and how it connects all women to each other. AstroOrisa called in and shared the elevation of sisterhood which is womanhood and shared information about Egbe Moremi the women’s society of the Oyotunji Village. Momma Sauda called in with her “Sisterville Quilt”. This quilt is an expression of women and their interaction together.

Momma Sauda shared a touching story of the interaction of a woman and her daughter and their reaction to the beauty of the quilt. This is a must listen to show for every type of woman, to experience the love that is there within them.

A Message From The Ancestors: October 1, 2011

Greetings Family,
As some of you may know I am a spiritualist, and I would like to share that area of my life with you this season. As the H20 Network took a break before our fall season my ancestors, and my spirit guides have been pushing me to share some of that energy with the H20 family in our new season. So, as it stands, I will be posting messages from Eggun for the week, things to ponder, and or pay attention too as we live, and play in this physical reality. As my Ancestors, and guides enrich my life I hope they do the same for all of you:>) Many blessings, and may Yemaya always wash prosperity upon your doorstep always! ASHE!

 Iya Dia Nunez, Yemaya Adebiti

Cards Of The Week:

Caressa: You are at the end of a cycle in your life. Call upon your guides to comfort you,  and to guide you to your next step. Happiness awaits you.

Maya: Schooling, study, and education help your life's purpose, and personal growth at this time. Spirit will guide you, and help you with this process

Merlina: You are confused, and indecisive because you do not have enough information. Do research, or seek expert advice before making a decision.

Message From My Ancestors:

Don't be a copy cat just to keep up with someone else, and stop having the fear of being left behind. Be yourself, and everything will fall into place as it should be. Everyone has their own destiny, and road to follow. Please keep looking straight ahead because if you keep looking back at others you will not succeed at what you were brought here to do.

You are NOT TRAPPED! It may seem that there is no way out, but your perception is fooling you. Things are not always as they seem. Release your desire to control all. Learn to flow with the essence of the universe.

You have to have a willingness to step outside of your comfort zone. If not, CHANGE will never arrive at your door step. You have to step out side of your comfort zone

You must have a mindset of determination, following through regardless of what is presented...

The only competition is with yourself.

Have you examined your beliefs that stem from your childhood? Childhood beliefs could be impacting life choices.

The potential for a GREAT/SPIRITUAL awakening is happening now... Pay very close attention, so you don't miss the opportunity.

Are you seeking more adventure in your life..Add some spice to your life by doing something that you have never done before

The Eagle's Nest: Follow-up On What Happened On Sunday's Show, Guardian Angels, and Spirit Guides

Greetings H20, and Eagle's Nest Family,

Khadijah's show was awesome this past Sunday! So many wonderful callers and tons of advice!! Here's the link just in case you missed the show! It truly is a must listen! http://www.blogtalkradio.com/theh2onetwork/2011/10/02/the-eagles-nest-with-khadijah-seven

Here is what Khadijah had to say after the show:

Guardian Angels and Spirit Guides

After each show I usually say a few words to my producer and then I go check on my little ones that are suppose to be resting. After this show, my sleepy almost 6 year old was still up waiting for me to tuck him in.

Son: Momma, how was your show?
Momma: It was very nice, a lot of people called me
Son: What was your topping?
Momma: My topping?
Son: Yes the topping to the show?
Momma: The topic?
Son: Ok the topPICK. What was the topPICK?
Momma: Guardian Angels, sweetheart
Son: (rubbing his eyes) do I have Guardian angels?
Momma: Yes and you make them work very hard. Now let them rest and you get some sleep
Son: ok momma

I loved this show, it was a great way to usher in The Eagle’s Nest after a two week break. The topic of Guardian Angels and Spirit Guides is long over due. At The Eagle’s Nest we spend time speaking of “Ancestors”, our personal family members that have passed but are still protecting and watching over us. This was our first conversation about our guardian angels, our angels assigned to watch over us. My first thought of guardian angels was how special are we to have been given personal angels to protect and guide us along our way. The conversation was enlightening and we got to share into a few callers understanding and experience with their spirit guides.
“Trust works both ways”
During the show there will always be something that stands out in my mind, as my son said “what as the topping”. The topping for me was the understanding that as much as your guardian angels work with you, you must work with them. Understand with all relationships there must be give and take. If you never speak to your angels they are still going to do their job because their job was given to them by the highest source. If you develop a relationship with your angels that connection will be stronger and you will feel their loving presence so much more.
“Commitment and Consistency”
Relationships are not light switches. They do not turn on and off just because you walked into the room. In developing yourself spiritually and working on relationships with spiritual beings you must commit and be consistent. How many of us are being consistent with our spirituality? In order to feel growth you must stay the task.

FAMILY WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?
